Jaguar Portals: The Awakening invites the reader into a symbolic and perceptual field where the jaguar serves as a guide between visible and invisible worlds. Across cultures, the jaguar has been understood as a guardian of unseen energies and liminal states; this collection draws on that lineage to explore how dormant creative and intuitive forces can be reactivated through image, myth, and attention. The jaguar’s gaze—both fierce and lucid—calls the viewer beyond surface representation into deeper currents of meaning, where art becomes a portal rather than an object.
The book traces not only the paintings themselves but the charged circumstances of their creation, including the mysterious destruction of much of the original series. In doing so, The Awakening situates the Jaguar Portals project as both a visual archive and a living mythology—one that now extends into immersive installations, experimental film, and character-based media. Together, these works invite a re-examination of perception, identity, and inter-connectedness as active, co-created experiences rather than fixed realities.
Tales of a Jaguar Magician is a collected edition of a multi-volume queer gender mythology that blends speculative narrative, symbolic cosmology, and poetic philosophy. Originally developed across five books, the work presents a mythic figure whose shifting forms and journeys explore how imagination, identity, and creative energy function as healing forces within society. Through magical realism and visionary storytelling, the series proposes queer experience as a form of cultural medicine—capable of opening pathways between material reality and expanded states of perception. The collected series and individual books are spectacularly illustrated with over 170 color original paintings.
